Ada 202y Language Reference Manual

The documents on this page consolidate possible corrections and improvements to the Ada Standard (International Standard ISO/IEC 8652:202y). The corrections and improvements will be produced by the ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 22/WG 9 Ada Rapporteur Group (ARG), and are known as "Ada 202y". The corrections and improvements include those published in Ada 2022 (ISO/IEC 8652:2023). Additional corrections and improvements are expected for Ada 202y; the timing and form (Corrigendum, Amendment, Revision) of future improvements has not yet been determined. Additionally, whether standardization will succeed is unknown. Thus, any proposed correction or feature may be substantially changed or withdrawn before an updated language completes standardization. These draft documents are not an official publication or work product of the ARG, but rather are provided by the ARA as a service to the Ada community.
The Ada 2022 standard is available here. The consolidated Ada 2012 standard (including TC1) is available here. The original (Ada 2012) standard is available here.
This is draft 3. This draft contains 105 of 113 approved AI22s; the remaining AIs will appear in future drafts. The approved AIs that do not appear are 33, 57, 59, 73, 97, 104, 117, and 119. Most of these contain a significant number of changes. Note: The PDF files are draft 2 which was up-to-date as of January 2025; we're only updating PDF files periodically to save time and money.
Send editorial comments on the documents to agent@ada-auth.org. Editorial comments are those that do not change the meaning of the text, such a spelling errors, doubled words, etc. [Note: Please avoid comments on paragraph and page layout, we are not checking that at this time.]
Substantive comments should be submitted by one of the methods outlined in the Introduction of the draft standard.
